Project Description

Organismal diet is one of several lifestyle factors that impact tissue health and disease. Even less is understood about how physiological responses such as ingestion, digestion and absorption of food are coordinated across time and space to create and maintain precise tissue structure and function. My research in the Nusse lab focuses on the study of how liver homeostasis is dynamically impacted by diet and the regulatory mechanisms that adapt this organ to nutritional state.
